Getting
the Maximum Impact from
Supply Chain Benchmarking
A
tool is only as valuable as the
purposes for which it is used.
With that in mind, The Performance
Measurement Group conducted a
survey to determine the extent to
which our Supply Chain Performance
Scorecard, a key component of the
Supply Chain Performance
Indicator, is being used for its
ultimate purpose: to improve the
entire supply chain on an ongoing
basis.
We
surveyed our participants to
determine how they use their
benchmarking results, which
metrics they track, and how
frequently they track metrics.
This report takes a hard and
detailed look at what companies
are—and are not—achieving
through their supply chain
benchmarking efforts. It offers
guidelines on how to gain maximum
benefit from supply chain
benchmarking in general, and
specifically from PMG's Scorecard,
and describes three emerging
supply chain practices that
harness metrics-based performance
management for competitive
advantage.
