Duties and Responsibilities
Perform functions of account executive—sales position responsible for new account development and relationship management. This position will target a portfolio of large accounts across multiple industries and offer benchmarking and professional services targeted at VP and higher level executives, supply chain and product development professionals, and their organizations. The account executive is assigned a quarterly revenue and benchmarking volume goal with strong financial incentives in order to meet or exceed their goal.
Job Description
- Sell PMG’s comprehensive solution including supply chain and product innovation benchmarking and professional services.
- Meet or exceed all assigned revenue and volume targets.
- Effectively sell PMG value proposition to all necessary levels within the targeted accounts.
- Professionally represent PMG in all customer business transactions and be responsible for the overall customer satisfaction level of assigned accounts.
- Prepare and negotiate proposals with prospects and customers.
- Ensure the consistency and predictability of sales revenues on a quarter-by-quarter basis and keep management visibility and involvement high in all key opportunities.
- Maintain, at minimum, a 3:1 pipeline ratio of active opportunities to business closed on a monthly basis.
- Manage the sales pipeline and forecast on a daily and weekly basis utilizing PMG’s standard sales automation tool (Salesforce.com) to allow complete visibility of all key deals and opportunities.
- Prepare for and actively participate in account reviews on a weekly basis.
- Maintain product knowledge and actively participate in product learning sessions.
- Actively participate in sales skills training and development sessions as required.
- Travel up to 15% may be required.
Qualifications
- 5+ year’s successful B2B experience selling in a transactional environment
- Strong sales track record of consistently exceeding objectives with annual target revenue of at least $500,000.
- Strong new business development track record.
- Consistent 100% or above annual quota performance.
- Experience in selling to and managing Fortune 500 accounts.
- Excellent communication and phone skills
- Background in selling complex software or services solutions with annual revenue exceeding at least $50,000 on a single transaction basis.
- Product/technology/advisory service selling experience with ERP, APS, supply chain, or PLM, etc.
- Expertise in selling to and knowledge of multiple vertical industries.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment is essential.
- Employment of ethical business practices required
- Ability to work with senior management on key projects.
- Operates with a sense of urgency and has a winning competitive nature.
- Must have worked within a dynamic sales environment and is comfortable in understanding all steps of the sales cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
Organizational Structure
The account executive reports to the marketing and sales director.
Location
Should be located near PRTM’s offices in Mountain View, CA or Newport Beach, CA
